He also set a personal record by winning his second Main Event title in just over a month.<\/p>\n<p>The World Poker Tour (WPT) has been expanding in a number of new destinations in the last couple of years going on to host their very first series in <strong>India, Japan and now in New Zealand<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skycityauckland.co.nz\/casino\/\">Skycity Auckland casino<\/a> became the partner of WPT to host this historic, inaugural event which ran from May 25 to June 4.<\/p>\n<p>The WPT decided to enter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/top-10-new-zealand-poker-sites\">New Zealand even though it isn\u2019t a huge market<\/a> compared to some of the other countries. The event was a huge success and attracted the biggest number of Main Event entrants for a live poker tournament ever held in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Kashyap did exceptionally well in the Main Event and was able to outlast a field of 360 players and event beat the famous <strong>Jack Efaraimo<\/strong>, known as \u201c<em>the godfather<\/em>\u201d of New Zealand poker. At the end of the tournament, <strong>Kashyap took home NZ$169,200<\/strong> while Efaraimo cashed out with NZ$108,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>World Poker Tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-4NPuj8VOng?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"kashyap-credits-victory-to-luck\">Kashyap Credits Victory To Luck<\/h2>\n<p>The Aussie poker pro was thrilled with his victory but was very candid in his comments and put it down to luck.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, he said, <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019m very happy with the way it came out, but you have to take the luck when it comes. I got lucky in a lot of ways. When I was bluffing, I wasn\u2019t called. When I had it, they happened to call. You can\u2019t really change the way the cards go, and it worked out well<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But we can\u2019t just believe it\u2019s all luck when Kashyap\u2019s WPT win is his second Main Event title in just a little over one month.<\/p>\n<p>Before coming to the WPT New Zealand, Kashyap was fresh from his Main Event victory at the <strong>2018 Crown Poker Championship CPC<\/strong> in Melbourne, Australia. Kashyap won the event and took home A$139,235 on April 27. The win gave him a lot of confidence to enter the WPT New Zealand Main Event which started June 2.<\/p>\n<p>It was a great Main Event streak for someone who played solely on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/top-10-australian-poker-sites\">Australian events<\/a>.
