Poker players from all over the world are eager to win this coveted title as it ensures they get a nice payout and also increase their brand value as a poker player.<\/p>\n<p>The WPT recently announced that the 2018 edition of its Tournament of Champions will have a few changes. Since its debut in 2016, the Tournament of Champions has been held at the <strong>Seminole Hard Rock at Florida<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>In 2018 though, WPT plans to bring the event to Las Vegas. The series is now set to run from May 17 to 26 and will be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10pokersites.net\/news\/poker-centrals-us-poker-open-to-start-from-february-1st-at-aria-casino\">Aria Resort &amp; Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, <strong>Adam Pliska<\/strong>, CEO of the World Poker Tour said <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The World Poker Tour is thrilled to bring the illustrious WPT Tournament of Champions to the luxurious Aria, as we close out a historic Season XVI. The WPT Tournament of Champions is our most prized event, and the winner will join <strong>Farid Yachou<\/strong> and <strong>Daniel Weinman<\/strong> as a WPT Tournament of Champions winner<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>World Poker Tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/W8da8fTWcJA?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Tournament of Champion series will consist of several high stake events. The starting event will be $10,000 No-Limit Hold\u2019em event which will be followed by four $25,000 high-roller events. These will culminate in a super high-roller event. The buy-in to this super higher roller event will be $100,000 and will take place from May 25 to 26.<\/p>\n<p>Running alongside the series will be the <strong>Bobby Baldwin Classic<\/strong>. This is a new WPT event that is being introduced to honor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therichest.com\/celebnetworth\/celebrity-business\/gamblers\/bobby-baldwin-net-worth\/\">poker pro Bobby Baldwin<\/a> who won four WPT bracelets and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in 1978. Baldwin accumulated over $2 million in career prize money which is not a lot considering what modern day poker players make but it was a huge sum in the 70s and 80s. The Bobby Baldwin Classic will run from May 20 to 23 and will have a buy-in of $10,000. This is also the final chance for anyone to get an automatic seat at the Tournament of Champions Main Event. <\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the series is the Tournament of Champions Main Event.
