PokerStars had confirmed a total of 81 events at the 2017 WCOOP along with $60 million in guaranteed prize money. That was a lot of money for an online poker tournament but the 2017 WCOOP surpassed all expectations as a record breaking 107,226 players ended up registering which boosted the overall prize pool to more than $90 million. <\/p>\n

At the end of the tournament, PokerStars confirmed that a total of $90,648,301 was paid out to players.<\/p>\n
