\"\"The World Poker Tour (WPT)<\/strong> is strengthening its presence in India\u2019s nascent poker market by presenting a new tournament WPTDeepStacks India in partnership with Adda52.com<\/a>. Part of Gaussian Networks Pvt. Ltd, Adda52.com is India\u2019s top poker gaming site with a customer base of over 1 million registered users.<\/p>\n

Anuj Gupta<\/strong>, founder and CEO of Adda52.com promoted the event by stating that WPTDeepStacks India would be unique as the event is expected to be held on a floating ship. <\/p>\n

The $1,000 buy-in WPTDeepstacks India Main Event is expected to be held from Nov 7 to 13 onboard the Deltin Royale Casino in Goa, India<\/a>. The organizers have said that additional events may be announced later.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Angelica Hael<\/strong>, the WPT\u2019s vice president of global tour management said <\/p>\n

With a burgeoning poker community in a country with a population of more than 1.3 billion, India is one of the most important territories in the global poker landscape. Together with our partner Adda52.com, the WPT looks forward to not only sharing the WPT experience through the expansion of WPTDeepStacks to the region, but also giving Indian players incremental value with the WPT India Player of the Year award.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Also under the partnership, the Deltin Poker Tour Player of the Year will be renamed as the WPT India Player of the Year. In addition to the Main Event, two other qualifying events will be held for the Player of the Year award. One is the $540 buy-in Deltin Poker Tour Main Event Goa to be held between July 20 and 24 and the other is the $540 buy-in Deltin Poker Tour Main Event Goa that\u2019s scheduled for September 6-11.<\/p>\n

Adda52GoPlay<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both these events will be without rake and take place inside the Deltin Royale Casino. The champion will receive a package worth $5,000 for either the Deltin Poker Tour events or a WPT event that\u2019s part of the Season XVII of the WPT.<\/p>\n

Adda52.com entered into a partnership with the WPT in early 2016 under which their players could qualify for WPT Live events through online satellite qualifiers. Poker has been in the news in India throughout this month. Another Indian online poker site, PokerHigh<\/strong> has signed up with top European casino King\u2019s Casino in Rozvadov to send online players who qualify to the partypoker LIVE Million Germany.
