World Series Of Poker, 50th AnniversaryThe World Series of Poker (WSOP) which takes place each year in Las Vegas is always special as it is the biggest poker tournament in the world.

However, the 2019 WSOP is going to be extra special as the WSOP is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is putting together some special events and promotions to give back to players.

The WSOP had four online bracelet events in 2018 where players were allowed to take part in official WSOP events at the flagship WSOP.com website. The WSOP has confirmed that it will host as many as 9 online bracelet events this year with 7 of them taking place on Sunday’s during the tournament which is scheduled to run from May 28 to July 16.

The first of the seven Sunday online bracelet events will take place on June 2 and will run on consecutive Sundays till July 14. The two other bracelet events will take place on June 19 and July 3 which are both Wednesdays.

This will be the 5th consecutive year that the WSOP is hosting online bracelet events. During the past four years, the WSOP has given out a total of 9 gold bracelets. To celebrate its 50th edition, the WSOP is doubling that number of online bracelets.

In a statement, Bill Rini, head of WSOP.com said

Just like the land-based WSOP, the annual summer series is also the best time for online poker players in the U.S. to chase big prize pools and WSOP gold bracelets. WSOP.com is offering a consistent gold bracelet schedule this year, plus non-stop satellites to both the online and live events, giving players the best opportunity to participate in the 50th Annual WSOP.

WSOP.com Offering Satellite Events

Poker players are always eager to get their hands on a coveted WSOP bracelet. Online poker players will relish the opportunity of having 9 events this year to get a crack at a WSOP gold bracelet. The buy-ins to these online bracelet events range from $400 to $3,200 which can be a little high for some poker players.

This is why WSOP.com has already started running a number of online satellite events to each of these online bracelet events. Do check out the WSOP.com lobby to see the date and time for these online satellite events. Do note that players will have to be present in a state which has legalized online gambling to participate in these WSOP online bracelet events.
