The US online poker market is doing really well. According to the latest figures, online poker revenue have enjoyed month-over-month growth across all regulated markets.

This continues the upward trend in the industry which started when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020.

Online poker is currently legal and active in the states of New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Michigan, and the major sites operating in these markets, PokerStars, WSOP.com, and the partypoker US Network, are all seeing decent growth.

New Jersey

Based on figures from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE), online poker accounted for $2.3 million of the state’s online gaming revenue in December, up from $2.2 million during the previous month. WSOP.com still leads the pack, capping the year off with $848,882 in revenue.

The partypoker US Network comes in second with a revenue of $803,383. While PokerStars lags behind the rankings, it posted the biggest monthly increase from $607,415 in November to $685,575 in December.

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania also recorded an increase in online poker revenue in December 2021. Online poker sites operating in the state brought in $3.1 million, up from $2.8 million in November.

PokerStars remains the market leader, generating more than $2 million, followed by WSOP.com which posted $639,833 in revenue (slightly down from the previous month). BetMGM/Borgata Poker also recorded a gain in December with $378,398 in revenue.

Michigan

The state of Michigan has had another record month in December, generating $121.7 million in online gaming revenue, up nearly 14% from November.

Part of that was brought in by the two online poker sites currently active in the state, PokerStars and BetMGM. Both operators have been busy running various tournaments in recent months, with the PokerStars still owning the bigger chunk of the market.

Delaware

December was Delaware’s best month of 2021. Online poker revenue surged in the state for the third consecutive month, posting $43,069 in December up nearly 30% from the month prior. 888poker provides software support to all three online skins in Delaware in partnership with the state’s racetrack casinos: Delaware Park, Harrington Casino and Raceway and Bally’s Dover.

December marked the first time in 2021 that all three online poker sites enjoyed a month-over-month revenue increase, with Delaware Park leading the market, bringing in $28,042.
