Spring Classic Returns to Wynn Las Vegas Offering $2.5m GTD
Wynn Las Vegas is bringing back the Spring Classic! The latest edition of the popular tournament series runs from March 3 to 22 and this time around Wynn has upped the ante by offering $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money, more than double the figure from 2020.
The upcoming festival features two tournaments with seven-figure guarantees. The first of them is Event #10: NLH Championship which costs $3,500 to enter and offers a massive guarantee of $1 million.
The event gets underway on March 12, and players will kick off the action with 40,000 in chips played to 60-minute levels. Players may take part in the event via two Day 1s which will run until March 13. Surviving players will meet again on Day 2 (March 14), and will battle it out through to March 15 to play down to a winner.
Another $1 million-guaranteed event will run on March 18. Event #15: No-Limit Hold’em has a buy-in of $1,600 with three starting flights taking place from March 18 – 20. Day 2 of the event will be on March 21, with the final action taking place the following day, March 22.
Last year, the $1M GTD event attracted 687 entries, and was won by Kevin Buck for $166,837
Other events to watch out for in the upcoming festival include the $600 buy-in, $250,000 GTD NLH Kickoff on March 4, as well as three Survivor events running on March 3, March 10, and March 17, with up $20,000 in guarantees up for grabs.
High roller fans can take a shot at the $10,500 buy-in NLH High Roller on March 11. Wynn will waive the $500 entry fee for the early birds, so make sure you register in advance if you want to take part in the event for a lesser price, or you may earn a seat by participating in the Super Satellite for only $1,100.
Health & Safety Protocols
Players are reminded to observe safety protocols while at the venue. Everyone entering the vicinity should wear a facemask. Hand sanitizers are readily available throughout the room, and poker table rails and all other high-traffic touch points, as well as playing cards and chips are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
Each table has a plexi-glass divider to ensure social distancing between players. You must be at least 21 years old to be able to participate in the Spring Classic. Wynn will charge 30% withholding tax for non-resident aliens.
