Shaun Deeb Reports Intruder In His Rio Hotel Room During 2021 WSOP
Thousands of poker players are currently participating at the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) which is currently taking place at the Rio in Las Vegas.
With non-stop action taking place at the WSOP, hundreds of poker players are staying at the Rio All-Suite as it makes it easy for them to play at the WSOP since there is no travel involved.
One of the players staying at the Rio is Shaun Deeb who has won four WSOP gold bracelets in his career so far.
Deeb has over 89 cashes at the WSOP live poker tournament and over $4.8 million in WSOP earnings.
Deeb took to Twitter to report that there was a break in at his hotel room in the early parts of the morning on Oct 10. An intruder broke into his hotel room at the Rio All-Suite around 6.30 am and ran away when Deeb woke up and tried to confront him. The intruder managed to run away and disappear rather quickly.
Nothing like waking up at 6am to someone who is inside your room robbing you PSA to all staying at the Rio make sure you latch your door at night and sadly the person ran away we will see if security can actually do their job or not and find them

Deeb said that he immediately reported the break in to Rio staff and said he wanted to see if Rio security will be able to find the intruder with the CCTV footage. His post received a lot of attention on Twitter as a number of poker players also shared instances in the past where they felt the security and service at the Rio All-Suite was well below par.
Concerns Over Security At Rio All-Suite
The WSOP brings thousands of players over to the Rio and all of them come with money in some form of the other. Criminals are very well aware that poker players staying at the Rio All-Suite and those playing at the 2021 WSOP will have either their cards or cash on them or in their rooms.
This is one of the reasons why the WSOP asks poker players to be vigilant at all times and why the Rio tends to increase security during the tournament. However, it appears that these measures are not good enough based on the number of complaints coming in on Deeb post over the security failings at the Rio All-Suite.
Poker pro Jeff Kimber alleged that Rio All-Suite staff tends to rent out empty rooms off the books and make a quick buck while another player said that her friend was robbed at the Rio parking lot.
Was baby oil and stuff by one bed. Found it mildy amusing, obv just use other bed that night. In morning noticed huge knife under bed.
Reported to management, told them staff are giving out 'empty' rooms to hookers.
Didn't seem bothered, moved room n gave us $100 credit

The Rio All-Suite is yet to release an official statement over Deeb’s intruder.
