RGPS Returns to Reno for a Thrilling Poker Festival

The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) will go back to Reno, this March, bringing an exciting week of poker action from March 25-30 at the Atlantis Casino Reno, Nevada

The RGPS Reno Main Event with a $600 buy-in will have a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000 on full display.

Six-Day Series Breakdown

Poker enthusiasts attending this festival will have the chance to win one of 10 coveted RunGood rings throughout the six-day series. 

The first day, March 25, will kick off with multiple events, including the $250 Seniors Ring Event, guaranteeing $10,000, as well as a $250 Series Opener with a $5,000 guarantee. 

Additionally, the $250 Ambassador Bounty Ring Event will draw familiar faces from the RunGood community.

The next day, March 26, will feature two starting flights of the DeepStack Ring Event carrying a $30,000 guarantee. 

A $85 Main Event Satellite will also be on offer, awarding one seat for every ten entries, with three seats guaranteed.

On March 27, the DeepStack Ring Event will conclude, while poker players can also participate in a $300 PLO Ring Event and a $300 Black Chip Bounty Ring Event. 

Two more Main Event satellites will be held, offering players additional chances to qualify for the $150,000 guaranteed Main Event.

The Main Event will officially begin on March 28 with its first of four starting flights. The event will play down to a winner on March 30, when the festival wraps up with a $300 One Day NLH Ring Event with a $10,000 guarantee and a $300 Tag Team event.

Dustin Cavanaugh Won the 2024 Event 

The last time the RunGood Series visited Reno was in October 2024, when the $600 Main Event attracted 301 players, creating a prize pool of $153,510. 

Montana’s Dustin Cavanaugh emerged victorious, claiming $33,450 and his first RunGood ring after besting local player Michael Harris in heads-up play. 

Cavanaugh reflected on the event’s competitive atmosphere, saying,

This is the best weekend of poker I have had in years… so much fun, lot of good players, lot of good competition, and I had a blast.

Following the Reno stop, the RGPS team will head to Hollywood Casino in St. Louis for a series from April 1-6, where 12 rings will be awarded, including a $200,000 guaranteed Main Event with an $800 buy-in.
