PokerStars Wins EGR ‘Poker Operator’ Award 2015

PokerStars, the biggest online poker website in the world has received the eGaming Review ‘Poker Operator of the Year’ Award for the second consecutive time in an award ceremony held on the 24th of November in London, England.

The eGaming Review Magazine is a popular online gambling brand that focuses on the global gambling industry and its regulations. The magazine has a strong international subscriber base and features breaking news, in-depth interviews with key influencers, roundtable discussions and breaking news in the industry. Pageant Gaming Media Limited is the parent company for the eGaming Review.

This annual eGaming Review ceremony is usually held in London and over 700 eGaming establishments attend the event. The eGaming review awards cover a wide variety of gambling niches including poker, bingo, sports betting and mobile casino betting. One of the highlights of the magazine is the special power 50 list that is generated on a yearly basis comprising of the top 50 influential online gaming companies from across the world. There are a number of awards given out during the ceremony and a special group of judges decide the winners in each category.

The eGaming Review ‘Poker Operator of the Year’ award in 2013 went to 888.com but PokerStars has managed to win this prestigious award in 2014 and 2015. Canadian based Amaya Inc purchased PokerStars in 2014 and has made a number of changes since then that has continued to establish PokerStars as the number one online poker website in the world. Amaya Inc also owns Full Tilt Poker (FTP) another popular online poker website that was also nominated for different awards during the ceremony.

Some of the other awards that Amaya, PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker were nominated for include Amaya Inc for Operator of the Year; Amaya Inc for Socially Responsible Operator and Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars for Mobile Poker Product.
