PokerStars ‘Road To The Bahamas’ Qualification Event for the 2018 PCA

PokerStars announced in August that it was scrapping its PokerStars Championship Bahamas format which is launched in 2017 and was reintroducing its popular PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) due to popular demand. The online poker giant announced that the 2018 PCA will once again be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort and will run from Jan 6 – 14.

The PCA is one of the most popular poker tournaments with players as they get a chance to enjoy a vacation in the Bahamas at the start of the year while playing poker and making a living. The PokerStars Championship Bahamas had a total of 98 events and a $5,300 Main Event which was completely different from the usual PCA. PokerStars has confirmed that it will return to 2018 edition of the PCA to its traditional format which has around 30 events and a $10,300 Main Event.

The company announced a special ‘Road To the Bahamas’ plan to enable as many as 400 poker players to qualify for the 2018. PokerStars has announced multiple options in which players can qualify for the PCA and also win an exciting PCA full package that includes a seat at the $10,300 Main Event, $1,000 deposited in their PokerStars account, $3,000 in hotel room accommodation at the Atlantis along with $1,000 in credits for them to spend at the hotel. These are some of the ways in which players can qualify for the 2018 PCA.

MTT Satellites

PokerStars has already commenced running its multi-table tournament satellites which requires a $55 buy-in. These MTT satellites will run till November 5 and will also include two $530 Ultra Satellites which gives players the opportunity to win a full PCA package.

Spin & Go Qualifiers

Spin & Go Qualifiers have a $27.50 buy-in and will also run till November 5. Players who win these qualifiers will receive PCA satellite tickets and also have the opportunity to win a PCA full package. The Spin & Go Qualifiers will be broken down into 799,615 in 1,000,000 — $55 satellite ticket, 181,625 in 1,000,000 — $109 satellite ticket, 18,510 in 1,000,000 — $530 Ultra Satellite ticket and a 250 in 1,000,000 — $15,855 PCA Package.

Daily Cash Game Challenges

Cash game players who win their daily challenges will have a chance to participate in a daily all-in shootout. Those who win the shootout, will get a crack at the Cash Game Weekly Final and will have to battle it out for $50,000 in prizes and a full PCA package.
