PokerStars is bringing its popular online tournament series to Pennsylvania!

The online poker operator is set to host the first-ever Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP), a local version of its iconic championship-level tournament series, which will take place on November 30 – December 16.

This follows PokerStars’ successful launch in the Keystone State earlier this month.

PACOOP features a massive $1 million in total guarantees, spread across 50 events. Players can choose from a wide range of buy-ins, starting from $30, all the way up to $750. The main highlight of the inaugural PACOOP will be the $300 buy-in Main Event which is scheduled to run on December 15, with $100,000 in guaranteed prize pool up for grabs.

Satellites & Special Promotions

Those without a huge bankroll may still be able to take a shot via tons of satellites running throughout the series, giving them a chance to win their way into a number of PACOOP events for as low as $1. Apart from that, players can also take advantage of special promotions, such as the Main Event Depositor Freeroll happening at 2:00 PM ET on December 15, which will give away a total of 25 Main Event seats. To avail of this promo, you only need to deposit at least $50 into your account using the PACOOP bonus code before 1:59 PM ET on December 15.

There is certainly no shortage of opportunities for you to join in on the action as PokerStars PA will also run daily Second Chance Freerolls for those who fail to finish in the money in any PACOOP event. Each freeroll will give you the chance to win satellite tickets, as well as free seats to PACOOP events. The freerolls will take place from December 1 to 16.

High Participation Expected

The upcoming online poker festival is expected to attract massive numbers, considering that PA is among the most populated states in the country. Players from neighbouring states are also likely to travel to the Keystone state to take a shot at the huge guarantees on offer.

It will be important to see how things turn out for PokerStars in Pennsylvania and how the inaugural PACOOP plays out. PokerStars has a reputation for dominating every market it enters and Pennsylvania has the biggest poker market amongst all legalized poker markets in America.
