  • The 39-event EPT Paris got underway on February 15 and runs until February 26
  • Organizers have prepared plenty of off-the-felt activities for players

For the first time ever, the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) has set foot in Paris, France. The French capital is currently hosting an EPT event, much to the delight of the tour’s players and fans who will get to enjoy plenty of off-the-felt activities in the city.

EPT Paris – Main Highlights

The EPT had regularly held a stop in Deauville on the French coast in the past. France had been out of the EPT schedule since 2015 and now it’s finally back. EPT Paris kicked off on February 15 and will run until February 26 at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile.

The series, which features 39 events, got underway with the France Poker Series (FPS), with the rest of the schedule featuring EPT events.

The line-up includes two Main Events – the first one, the €1,100 buy-in FPS Main Event, is already underway, with starting flights running on February 16 and 17. The final action is scheduled for February 20, and on the same day, the second Main Event kicks off.

The EPT Paris Main Event costs €5,300 to enter and features two Day 1 flights taking place on February 20 and 21. The action resumes until February 26 during which a winner will be crowned.

Those who want to enter the EPT Main Event for a more affordable price may take part in qualifier games beginning February 17. The qualifiers are played in milestone format whereby Pokerstars players need to reach a certain number of chips before they can secure a Main Event seat. There are freezeout and single-reentry formats available, with milestone requirements of $50K and $100K respectively.

Explore the City of Light

EPT players visiting Paris for the first time should not miss out on the numerous beautiful attractions and amazing food experiences that the city has to offer. The good news is, EPT Paris has organized some exciting off-the-felt activities for the players, including Eiffel Tower tours, hot-air balloon experience, and sightseeing bus tours, all of which are scheduled daily.

There’s also a French cheese and wine pairing afternoon taking place on February 20 and 22 at 1 pm. The Arsene Lupin escape room is also on the list, happening on February 17, 18, and 24 at 10 am. Organizers are also set to throw a Players’ Party on February 20.
