Jackie GlazierAustralian poker pro Jackie Glazier and 888poker have decided to part ways after a three year long association.

The online poker site made the announcement over Twitter last week and confirmed that Glazier will no longer represent the 888poker brand as an ambassador and wished her the best for her future.

888poker had signed on Glazier in 2013, at a time when she was representing poker training site IveyPoker. Glazier was riding high then having experienced a successful streak at the 2012 and 2013 editions of World Series of Poker (WSOP).

In 2012, she had been the runner-up to Greg Ostrander in a $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em event winning $458,996 while in 2013 she won the Last Women Standing crown in the 2013 WSOP Main Event. She finished in 31st place taking home winnings of $229,281 Glazier continued her winning streak as an ambassador for 888poker winning the Ladies Event held in Cannes as a part of the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) for €21,850. Glazier was known as an engaging and approachable ambassador, always available for interviews and discussions. She was also known for exploring new ways to reach out to the wider audience as an ambassador including video blogging and writing.

One of her recent initiatives has been a podcast series called Dynamic by Design that she hosts with her husband Jamie who is a mental performance coach. She has discussed her decision to step back from poker in recent times in an episode in the series. Glazier alluded to her lack of success on the felt for the past two years, saying that she has been putting in a lot of hard work but has not been able to see the results.

In a statement, Glazier says,

The past two years have been a little hard on me emotionally and mentality. I know a lot of people would love to do what I do, and so feel I don’t have the right to whinge about my situation. After 7-8 years of playing professionally, I needed some time out.

Glazier is not participating in the 2016 WSOP, making it the first time she is missing out on the WSOP in the last seven years. She has stated that she is now focussing on moving on to newer interests including promoting the game further within Australia and encouraging more women to participate in poker.

Glazier has also indicated that she might use the podcast to include some training content and possibly look at offering a training service for amateur poker players in the near future.
