Partypoker rolled out a major upgrade of its online poker room software earlier this week as a part of its commitment to keep improving the online gaming experience for its players. The changes are being introduced phase-wise.

In the first phase, the display improvements include a new and darker theme which is easier on the eye and will particularly benefit those playing for long hours.

In terms of gaming features, there are many changes and the major ones are: an improved game navigation, new filter to access more games, changes to Sit & Go Hero lobby that helps differentiate between three and four-handed games, and removal of the relatively unpopular one-click lobby.

Phase 2 of the upgrade is scheduled to be released in the next quarter and includes several more enhancements. Players can expect changes like full screen view option for the lobby, further alterations to interface elements like the display, filter options, game and tournament related information. Better tournament lobby displays and more customization options for tables are also planned.

The upcoming software release is another step in the direction of getting our ‘dream poker room.’ We see an improvement to the lobby and to the table as well as lots of small tweaks all around the client. I tested the software with a dozen or so guys and the feedback was all extremely positive. We’ve given extra feedback about how to further improve the software and from now till the end of the year you should see additional impressive improvements to the overall software

Tom Waters, the managing director of partypoker said that the company had been working on developing improvements for its poker room for months now with a group of players. He said that the Phase 1 changes had been tested in the past few months and highlighted that the feedback was mostly positive.
