Partypoker Creates Special Community To Focus On Female Players

Partypoker recently announced that it has launched a special community for female poker players called partypoker Ladies. The online poker operator stated that this special poker community will be exclusively for female poker players and will include a number of innovative features such as ladies only poker tournaments and social media channels.

Partypoker has made significant changes to its policies, marketing strategies and senior management during the last 12 months in an effort to once again establish itself as one of the premier online poker brands in the world. The company is looking to attract more female poker pros as it believes this market segment has been neglected considerably.

The company had the stats to prove this once numbers from the 2017 World Series of Poker (WSOP) came out.

The 2017 WSOP Main Event is one of the most popular poker events of the year as poker players from all over the world try to be a part of this prestigious event. There were a total of 7,221 players who participated in the Main Event and only 267 of these were female poker pros – which is around 3.7 percent of the playing field.

Poker has always been a male dominant game and some of the top female poker pros have stated in the past that they felt disrespected by male poker players who have belittled their skills, made fun of them at the tables and even made sexual remarks at the tables. Things have changed in the last couple of years as the number of female poker pros have participating in high profile tournaments have started to increase but it isn’t enough.

Partypoker believes that this new partypoker Ladies community will help female poker pros come together and bond – which will help strengthen the female poker community. The company is also hosting a number of ladies events to give female poker pros the attention and respect they deserve. Some of those recent ladies only events were held at the partypoker LIVE Grand Prix Killarney and the partypoker MILLIONS at Dusk Till Dawn in April.

These ladies only events are also taking place online. Partypoker will have a special ladies only event at the ongoing Powerfest series. There is a $109 buy-in Powerfest Ladies event scheduled to take place on September 24 at 8 pm BST and will have a guaranteed prize pool of $10,000.
