PTPartypoker Continues Online Poker Expansion Creating ‘Team Online’
Partypoker has a very strong Teams Pros roster which has some of the top live poker players in the game. The current roster includes Fedor Holz, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Kristen Bicknell and Patrick Leonard.
In Jan 2018, partypoker brought on two more players in American Isaac Haxton and German Philipp Gruissem.
Partypoker is now looking to ramping up its efforts in the online poker market place and has created a new brand ambassador team called Team Online. The online poker operator recently announced that it has signed four online poker pros as brand ambassadors. This new group of online poker ambassadors will be tasked with the responsibility of promoting online poker and carrying the brand in live circuit tournaments under the banner partypoker ‘Team Online’.
Team Online will be represented by Austrian pro Josip Simunic and three top Brazilian pros in Lui Martins, Renato Nomura and Day Kotoviezy. The hiring of online poker pros from Brazil is an indication that partypoker has its eye on the Latin American market which a number of poker analysts believe has the potential for causing the next poker boom.
Tom Waters, partypoker managing director was very happy with the creation of Team Online and its first set of online poker ambassadors. Waters said the signings would enable the partypoker brand to be well represented across the world and boost interest in online poker.
Nomura has won $200 thousand in career prize money and is ranked in 120th place in Brazil’s all-time money list. He also coaches at the Lui Martins. Austrian poker pro Simunic has won over $1.3 million in career prize money and is ranked in 9th place on Austria’s all-time money list while Day Kotovizy is a female poker pro from Brazil who has won just $39,000 in career prize money but will represent the female poker community. Lui Martins does not have a lot of experience playing poker as his background is in eSports. Martins is a former World of Warcraft and Quake specialist.
