New Jersey Hits More Than 125,000 Online Gambling Accounts

According to the data released by New jersey Division of Gaming Enforcements (DGE) has indicated that New Jersey has recorded more than 125,000 online gaming players. The actual count released by DGE is 126,231 and this has indicated an increase of 16,285 compared to the previous week.

After its launch of the newly regulated internet gambling market in November 26, 2013 the number of players registering accounts in New jersey has been increasing and seven casinos have been given full permits to provide real money game play and these casinos include Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Bally’s Atlantic City Tropicana Casino and Resort, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, Caesars Atlantic City, and The Golden Nugget. The operators provide a variety of games that include online blackjack, slots, progressive games, bingo and many more.

More casinos are yet to be added and 10 out of 12 land based casinos have already been given a license. Every casino can be given a license and each license can hold up to 5 different websites. New banking options are being introduced to make it convenient for US players to enjoy great gaming action.

‘Casino promoters have contributed to the significant increase in player traffic” said DGE Director David Rebuck.

At present, only 7 out of the 12 licensed casino rooms in Atlantic City offer online poker and two of these have dominated the industry. Party Poker holds 50% market share of online poker players recording an average of more than 240 ring game/cash game players within a few days after launch.

Another poker room dominating the market is Caesars Interactive Entertainment’s World Series of Poker that is powered by 888 Holdings.
