MPN’s UCOP 2019 Returns With €1 Million GTD

The Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP) is back! The popular tournament, hosted by the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), is set to take place from September 15 to 29 and will have €1 million in total guarantees.

This online poker festival features 94 events, with buy-ins starting from as low as €2.20, all the way up to €320, which means there is something in store for all players, regardless of the size of their bankroll.

Players who would like to take part in the higher buy-in events but don’t have the bankroll can take advantage of the hundreds of satellites running throughout the tournament. Daily satellites starting out at only €0.01 are already running on all MPN poker rooms, including Betsafe.

Unique Leaderboard Promo

Another exciting feature of the UCOP festival is its Leaderboard promo, which introduces a unique twist to the usual point mechanics. This time, the players with the fewest points will be awarded with more than €20,000 worth of prizes.

If you win a UCOP event, you will get 1 point; if you finish second, you’ll earn 2 points, and so on. Here’s the interesting part — if you choose not to take part in any event, you will get points equivalent to the total number of entrants plus one. So if you do not enter an event with 150 entries, you will receive 151 points! MPN will calculate everyone’s overall score, and will discard the worst 15 points scores for each player.

The UCOP Leaderboard’s Top 8 will be awarded with any of these three prizes, according to the player’s choice: online tournaments package worth €1,550; MPNPT package worth €1,500; or €1,000 cash.

The player who finishes on top of the race will receive the Greatest Poker Player in the Universe 2019 trophy, €1550 Online Tournament Tickets Package, €MPNPT Package worth €1,500, €1,000 cash, plus Player’s Choice Prize.

UCOP Main Event

On September 29, a €22 buy-in Mega Feeder to the UCOP Main Event will take place starting 2:30pm BST, giving away a hundred UCOP Main Event tickets to the winners, each valued at €100. The Main Event kicks off at 5:00pm, taking place an hour before a €45,000 GTD High Roller deals its cards.
