Dutch PokerStars Team Pro Lex Veldhuis’ dominance at the Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) has not come to an end just yet.
The player with close to $700,000 in total live earnings won a new title while taking down the SCOOP 41-H: $5,200 NLHE Titans and scooped up $140,279.
First COOP Title, Second-Biggest Online Score
The result is even more important as it represents Veldhuis’ second-highest online score as well as his first-ever COOP title.
The final table reunited a few of the best poker players on the planet battling for the top prize as well as the privilege of winning what has become one of the most prestigious poker tournaments of the series.
Some of the the top crushers who were seated at the final table were Brazilian Yuri “theNERDguy” Dzivielevski, English Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, Ukrainian Roman “RomeOpro” Romanovsky and Australian Kahle “ROFLshove” Burns.
The Titans Event, which was one of the tougher SCOOP events on the schedule, attracted a total of 128 participants.
Veldhuis streamed the final table event live on Twitch and uploaded it to his YouTube channel.
Team Lex In the Lead
The Dutch Team PokerStars Pro successfully navigated the final table, defeating the Dominican Republic’s “Nacho12441“ during heads-up play.
When the on-screen winner’s animations started to play out, Veldhuis’ was overwhelmed by emotions and exclaimed
Oh my god, I’m shaking. I’ve been trying so long… I finally won one. We won one of the toughest tournaments of the series.
The result gave Team Lex a wider gap and a substantial lead for the inaugural SCOOP League.
Team member Marius “DEX888” Gierse also won the Mystery Bounty event and took home $113,433, giving his team a serious advantage against Team Tonkaaaa, Team Spraggy, and Team Fintan.
Player “Nacho12441” scooped up a prize of $108,687, followed by Yuri ‘theNERDguy‘ Dzivielevski in third with $84,201, Wildace_hun in fourth with $65,245, and Roman ‘RomeOpro‘ Romanovsky in fifth position with $50.501.
