Jason Somerville has been the face of poker on Twitch for years and now he is extending an opportunity to others streamers and content creators to help grow the poker community on the popular streaming platform.

Jason Somerville’s Run It Up brand has been steadily growing acquiring sponsorship and merchandising deals to live coverage of events such as the ‘Run It Up Reno‘ poker series. This time around Somerville has partnered with PokerStars to create the very first poker studio appropriately titled ‘Run It Up Studios’.

This Las Vegas based studio is unique as it is not affiliated with any land based casino as is the case with PokerGO at the Aria and the eSports Arena at the Luxor. Run It Up Studios will be fully equipped with the latest gadgets for shooting and editing and will also have editors, producers, and even graphic artists to assist streamers to create poker content and grow the poker community on Twitch.

In addition to production assistance, ‘Run It Up Studios’ will also help with other streaming aspects such as merchandise, moderator assistance, and administrative services. Somerville envisions ‘Run It Up Studios’ to become the one-stop-shop for all Twitch content producer needs.

PokerStars Happy To Back Somerville

Eric Hollreiser, vice president of corporate communications of The Stars Group, the parent company of PokerStars heaped praise on Somerville for being an innovator and pioneer in the poker industry. PokerStars, the biggest online poker website in the world will now rely on Somerville to help promote the brand on Twitch.

Somerville who is a PokerStars Team Pro says that he knows that it can be tough to be a successful streamer on Twitch. ‘Run It Up Studios’ will help streamers realize their capabilities and help them with earning more, finding sponsorships and building their brand.

In a statement, Somerville said,

As a Twitch streamer for many years, there were many lessons that I learned in broadcasting myself. I’ve decided to take all those lessons and resources and build them into a company that is able to help other streamers be successful. I know what it takes to run a successful Twitch stream and taking that same knowledge and resources, and offering it to others

Run It Up Studios’ is already producing Somerville’s channel and a number of PokerStars’ Twitch streams. Unlike PokerGO and the eSports Arena, ‘Run It Up Studios’ is not yet equipped with a live table for live tournament streams, but Somerville says that it is something they are looking to develop in the future.
