GGPoker: Road To WSOP Europe Summary

  • GGPoker will award dozens of WSOPE Main Event seats
  • Satellites are available for as low as €25
  • WSOPE should attract a decent turnout despite uncertainties

With the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) live festival at the Rio nearing its end, all eyes will be on the next big event on the poker tournament calendar – the 2021 WSOP Europe.

The series returns to King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, and takes place from November 19 to December 8, with 15 gold bracelets up for grabs.

As usual, there are tons of online satellites available for players who want to secure a seat into the Main Event for a more affordable price. The place to go is GGPoker which is currently running its “Road to WSOP Europe campaign“. The operator is hosting multiple feeder events daily, with satellite buy-ins ranging from €25 to €1,050. Each of these satellites will award tickets to the WSOPE Main Event.

2021 WSOPE Main Event Features €5M Guarantee

This year, organizers decided to maintain the Main Event’s €10,350 buy-in and €5 million guarantee. While there are uncertainties accompanying the reopening of the live poker scene in Europe, that figure is quite achievable as there is high demand for the return of major live tournaments in the region. Add to that the fact that a lot of European poker players were not able to take part in the WSOP live festival in the US due to travel restrictions.

The decent turnout at some of the key events at the 2021 WSOP in Las Vegas is proof that there is huge interest among players to be back in action at the live felts.

GGPoker has sent 251 players to the WSOP Main Event at the Rio as part of its Road to Vegas promo. They qualified via direct buy-ins, satellites, and exclusive promotions run by the site.

20 Tickets Have Been Awarded So Far

The operator is running a similar campaign for the WSOPE, but the only difference is that the prize just covers the €10,350 Main Event buy-in, contrary to the $12,500 worth of all-inclusive packages awarded to players who won a seat into the Main Event in Vegas.

Tickets were also given away via GGPoker’s new subscription-based online poker site ClubGG. For the Road to Europe campaign, the operator has yet to announce whether players can also win tickets via the ClubGG app.

The €10,350 WSOPE Main Event will kick off on December 3.
