GGPoker WSOP Online SeriesSummary

  • GGPoker in the process of finalizing 2022 WSOP Online series schedule
  • The series is expected to award between 30 and 50 gold bracelets
  • A $5,000 Main Event with a $20 million guarantee will likely headline the series

The 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) live festival is well underway at Bally’s and Paris in Las Vegas with nearly half of the events completed.

Gold bracelets are also up for grabs online via the domestic leg of the WSOP online series which is also currently in progress and is open to players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

By the time these two ongoing series wrap up, another WSOP online festival kicks off, this time catering to non-US players. The international portion of the WSOP online bracelet series is returning this year, with GGPoker still playing host to the action.

Organizers have yet to announce the final schedule and dates but a GGPoker spokesperson said they’re already being worked out, so we can expect the full details to be released in the next few weeks.

GGPoker Series Could Award up to 50 Bracelets

It will be the third straight year that GGPoker is partnering with the WSOP for the international leg of the online bracelet series, and since there has been no official announcement yet as to the dates, events, and guarantees on offer, we can make a few assumptions based on the schedule of the previous editions.

The 2022 WSOP Online Bracelet Series on GGPoker will likely kick off in August. By that time, the WSOP live festival and the US leg of the online series are already in the books. The last two editions, held in 2020 and 2021, gave away between 30 and 50 gold bracelets and we can expect the same number of bracelets to be awarded this year. Buy-ins will also likely range from $50 to $25,000.

$5K buy-in, $20M GTD Main Event Could Return

The schedule is also expected to culminate in a $5,000 Main Event.

While the $5K Main Event in 2021 fell short of meeting its $20 million guarantee, organizers might still go for the same figure this year but add more starting flights to avoid overlay. So players will likely be competing for another $20 million in guaranteed prize money in the Main Event alone.

The rest of the schedule will likely mimic those of the previous editions, which means several WSOP signature events will make a return, including the Millionaire Maker, Big 500, Colossus and a few Championship events. GGPoker could also squeeze into the schedule some of its signature events, such as Super MILLION$ High Roller, Flip & Go and GGMasters.
