Las Vegas
When poker players go to Las Vegas, they end up spending most if not all of their time playing poker.

The 2018 WSOP is fast approaching and poker pros from all over the world will descent to the entertainment capital of the world.

The WSOP is a month and a half long poker tournament with action taking place on a daily basis. Poker pros who would like to take a break, have multiple things to do in a city like Las Vegas.

We list five things that you might enjoy doing:

High Roller Observation Wheel

The High Roller

You will be forgiven for thinking this is a high stakes event.

Nope – the High Roller we are talking about looks like an ordinary Ferris wheel but in reality it is the world’s largest observation wheel.

Standing at 550 feet above the main Las Vegas Strip, anyone who rides it will be treated to an impressive sight of the city and the surrounding mountains.

Stratosphere Tower’s Big Shot

Poker players like thrills. There’s nothing like facing down the bluff of an opponent across the table.

They can enjoy a similar adrenaline rush on the Big Shot, one of the Stratosphere Tower’s many rides.

Riders are sent up the 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour. That should be thrilling enough for everyone.

Red Rock Canyon

Some players may want to unwind in the great outdoors. Though the bright lights of Las Vegas may dominate the area, there are nearby places where one can see the wonders of nature.

One of these places is Red Rock Canyon. Visitors can go hiking or just enjoy the scenery. The area occupies nearly 200,000 acres in the Mojave Desert. That’s a lot of ground to cover and anyone dropping by will find a lot of things to do.

Only 25 miles from the Strip, people in cars can drive around for 13 miles of scenery, while hikers can enjoy 26 hiking trails.

For those who want to camp or bike, there are also options available.

The Mirage Volcano

This is an iconic attraction that is pure Las Vegas showmanship.

Just drop by at the Mirage at around 8 PM to 9 PM on a Friday or a Saturday to see a free spectacle of fire and sound.

On other days of the week, the volcanoes erupt at 7 PM to 8 PM.

When they’re not spewing tongues of flame, the site has a magnificent waterfall.

TAO Las Vegas

Nightlife

If you are looking to unwind and have some fun in Vegas, then you have a lot of options as Vegas is home to some of the best nightclubs in the world including Tao and XS.
