First Land Of PokerThe latest social poker app to hit the market is called ‘First Land of Poker‘ (FLOP). The app was launched at the recently-concluded Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge (PAPC) held at the Hilton Tallinn Park and the Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn, Estonia.

The launch was announced by poker pro Patrick Antonius at the PAPC Players’ Party which took place on April 5.

Antonius is an ambassador of the app which went live in Beta a few days earlier on April 2. The social poker app was developed by WeOpt.

Some of the key people who were present for the launch of the FLOP social poker app included Managing Partner and COO Idriss Bellamine and Chief Technical Officer Remi Gelibert.

Main Features

The app, which is available on Google Play and Apple’s App Store, is easy to set up. Upon installation, you will be asked to provide your name, date of birth, location and other basic information. The app also comes with privacy settings which allow you to ultimately decide which information you’d like to share with other players.

Each user can set up a list of their favourite poker variants and the stakes they typically enjoy. The whole installation can be completed in less than two minutes.

Like other social media platforms, you can easily find your friends whom you want to be part of your crew, and they first need to approve or accept your request. The same thing applies if they also try to add you to their own crew.

You can connect with four friends and other players by posting photos, videos or status updates. You can also let them know where you are playing and the games you’re currently playing. Likewise, you will know what your friends are doing based on the information they’re sharing, such as the casino, stake, game type and the number of players.

The app also features a huge casino directory which you can filter according to location and name. This will give you information on the casinos in your area. You can also stay updated on running and upcoming tournament festivals through the app’s Events tab.

More to Come

Bellamine said their main goal is to let players enjoy a full end-to-end experience, with the poker app’s collaborative and interactive features. Users should stay tuned as more additional offerings are coming soon, which will alter the whole concept behind the application.
