Last Updated on April 19, 2018 Author:Juan Blanco

The European Poker Tour (EPT) is back in Monte Carlo with the same exciting format and rich events. The top poker players from all over Europe are expected to fly in to Monaco and take part in this popular poker tournament.

Two years after the last EPT was held in Monaco, PokerStars has confirmed that it is bringing back the tournament which will take place from April 24 to May 4.

As per tradition, EPT Monte Carlo is hosting a number of low and high buy-in events, including six of the most anticipated events: the EPT National on April 25 to 28, the EPT Super High Roller on April 26 to 28, the EPT National High Roller on April 27 to 28, the EPT Cup at a low buy-in of €330 on April 26 to 29, the EPT High Roller on May 2 to 4, and of course the €5,300 EPT Main Event on April 28 to May 4.

These highlight events will all feature single re-entry (per flight, in the case of the EPT Cup and EPT National). Some of these events will use a shot clock, including the Main Event. All No-Limit Hold’Em events will be using the big blind ante format, following the footsteps of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), Wynn Classic, Aria Poker Classic, and more headline poker events.

EPT Monte Carlo Has Exciting Prizes On Offer

Players are excited for the return of the EPT in Monte Carlo as the tour has very generous prize pools. In the EPT’s illustrious history, only two champions have even walked away with more than €2 million in winnings: Glen Chorny from Season 4 claimed the €2,020,000 top prize, while Netherlands’ Pieter de Korver still holds the record for the richest EPT Grand Final prize of €2,300,000 in Season 5.

Players who would like to follow the footsteps of these poker millionaires can now start their journey to the EPT Monte Carlo as there are a number of online satellites events take place at the PokerStars website. Those who get to the EPT Monte Carlo festival can also get a chance to win one of five $30,000 PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) packages that will be given away, which will give the winner six-nights’ accommodation in Bahamas, a $25,000 seat to the PSPC, and an extra $2,000 for food and drinks.
