Best Spots To Grab A Quick Bite During The 2018 WSOP

Last Updated on October 2, 2018 Author:Adrian Sterne

Poker pros are lining up to visit Las Vegas to take part at the upcoming 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The action is literally going to be non-stop for the next month and a half and poker players often tend to neglect their health by eating poorly during the tournament.

Most poker pros have poor eating habits during the WSOP because they don’t want to waste too much time thinking about food. We put together a list of places you can grab a bite and save time.

Where Poker Players Can Save Time Eating In Las Vegas

Some of these places are located inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino where the WSOP is taking place and some not too far away.

Hash House A Go Go

For the most value for your money, check out this restaurant inside the Rio, offering a variety of breakfast and brunch options for the hungry tummy. Hash House A Go Go is popular for their oversized servings and food prepared with fresh farm ingredients. One of their must-tries in the menu is the one-pound stuffed burger, perfect for recharging for your next event.

All-American Bar & Grille

Located at the main casino floor, this restaurant offers quick take-away or sit-down options. If you’ve got no time to waste on deciding on your meal, you’ll be pleased with their $6.99 grab-and-go takeout menu where you can choose from fresh sandwiches or a traditional cheeseburger.

Sports Deli

Even less frills than All-American Bar & Grille is Sports Deli, which offers three no-brainer combo meals to take out and bring to anywhere at the Rio. They have a cheeseburger with fries and drinks combo for $11.50, a specialty burger with fries and drinks combo for $15.50, and a cheaper pizza with drinks combo for $6.50. It’s also perfect for all-nighters since it open’s 8 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily.

Starbucks

For all your caffeine boost needs, there are two Starbucks counters located inside the Rio: one on the casino floor that’s open 24 hours a day, and another just past the convention hall right next to the Penn & Teller Theater. It’s Starbucks, there’s really no way you’ll miss this.

Las Vegas Chinatown Plaza

Just a block away from the Rio is the Chinatown Plaza where there are tons of food options to choose from. There are so many restaurants and stalls to sample in Chinatown, whatever your cravings are. But for first-timers, visit the Thai Style Noodle House, Tofu Hut, Sparrow & Wolf, or Pho Kim Long for authentic Asian flavours.

Roma Deli & Restaurant

The restaurant quickly grew a cult following among poker players visiting the Strip since it’s now owned by pros Todd Brunson and Max Pescatori. They have a long list of lunch and dinner options that can be convenient for dinner breaks since orders can be made in advance online or by phone.
