Americas Cardroom Signs Vanessa Kade As Newest Brand Ambassador

Last Updated on March 22, 2021 Author:Gabrielle Monet

Vanessa KadeVanessa Kade is preparing for an exciting poker journey ahead as she joins Americas Cardroom (ACR) as one of its newest ambassadors. The latest signing puts her alongside Chris Moneymaker, who also secured a sponsorship deal with the US-facing site earlier this year after ending his 17-year partnership with PokerStars.

Kade made headlines in recent weeks after revealing that GGPoker terminated her affiliate account following criticisms she made back in December 2020, attacking the site for signing “misogynistDan Bilzerian.

Many would assume that ACR signed Kade following her dispute with GGPoker, but the poker pro was quick to clarify that negotiations between her and the online poker site had been going on for a year, so it was in no way a publicity stunt.

In Kade’s onsite bio, ACR highlights her “powerful voice” against misogyny and bullying in poker. But more than that, the Canadian pro has been on the spotlight for quite some time now because of her poker exploits.

Kade’s tournament record actually dates back to 2010, but during those times, she was only playing poker on the side, as she was more focused on her gaming career, working as a video game producer for Disney Interactive Studios, BioWare, and Lucasfilm.

In 2014, she began pursuing a full-time career in poker, mainly playing cash games. She also established her own Twitch channel and has since been streaming her online sessions for her fans and followers. During the WSOP online festival in 2020, Kade cashed in multiple events. She also has over $142,000 in live earnings.

Kade wants to make it clear that ACR didn’t just sign her because of her recent spat with GGPoker. Looking at her poker accomplishments as well as her outspoken views on relevant issues, ACR sees her potential and finds her fit to represent the brand and the game of poker as a whole.

Positive Feedback

Kade’s latest signing with ACR has generally been welcomed by the poker community. Many lauded the online poker site for hiring a woman representative, saying that poker needs more female ambassadors. Prominent pro Dara O’Kearney also congratulated both Kade and ACR on their new partnership.

Kade is so happy about the positive comments she has received so far, and she looks forward to going back to regular streams, and then proceed to making appearances in the live arena. She is set to join her fellow Team ACR pros at the upcoming World Poker Tour (WPT) event in Florida.
