Mateos Wins Three-Way All-In for SHR Title

Iconic poker pro Adrian Mateos won the Super High Roller (SHR) Series Cyprus Event #6: $25,750 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty.
The Spanish poker player boosted his 2024 GPI Player of the Year ranking and scooped up $162,000 in cash, with another $165,000 in mystery bounties for a total of $327,000.
Nonetheless, he wasn’t the biggest winner of the tourney. Despite finishing in second place, poker legend Phil Ivey collected a whopping total of $413,000 total.
This was due to the $300,000 worth of mystery bounties that the winner of 11 World Series of Poker bracelets considered the best all-around player in the world by many managed to collect.
40-Entrant Tournament Ends in Three-Way All-In
The tournament counted 40 entrants and hosted a final table with plenty of iconic faces including Canadian Sorel Mizzi with a GPI of 11,407 and over $11 million in total live earnings who busted at $32,000 and finished in sixth place, followed by fellow Canadian Sam Greenwood who busted in fifth place and took home $42,000.
Greenwood has a 174 GPI ranking, has one WSOP bracelet, and has gathered close to $35 million in total live earnings so far.
53 GPI-ranked American Seth Davies exited the final table in fourth place. The WTP winner grabbed $59,000.
Ivey had the lead at the beginning of the three-handed play that also reunited 11-time WSOP bracelet winner Mateos, and Quan Zhou, the winner of Event #2.
The player who has made nine World Poker Tour final table appearances didn’t keep the lead for too long, as the Spanish player managed to double up into the lead, booking his third top-three finish in the SHR Series via the first six events.
Currently, Adrian Mateos is just beneath the $50 million mark in terms of in lifetime live tournament cashes after locking up his biggest winning year in cashes in his career at more than $10 million.
Poker Hall of Famer Ivey is right behind the Spanish legend with more than $46 million in career cashes.
