888poker’s Satellites To The 2018 WSOP Attracting Tons Of Players

The 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set to open its doors in a few hours and thousands of players from all over the world will be in attendance. The highlight of the 2018 WSOP will be its Main Event which has a $10,000 buy-in. Just about every poker player in the world wants to play the Main Event and get the opportunity to become a millionaire.

However, not everyone can afford the $10,000 buy-in to the Main Event. Those who cannot afford the buy-in still have a chance at qualifying by playing online satellites at 888poker. These online satellites start out from as low as $0.01.

WSOP has partnered with a number of online poker operators to run satellites and give away seats and packages to the WSOP Main Event. 888poker is one of the websites with WSOP Main Event qualifiers that is still on-going and players are flocking to the satellites in hopes of becoming the next Chris Moneymaker, who turned his $86 satellite win at the PokerStars online poker card room into a WSOP Main Event title in 2003.

The WSOP Main Event starts on July 2, which gives poker players plenty more time to get their grind on and try to win a seat or a full-on package to the event via 888poker’s numerous satellites.

Players Flocking To 888poker Satellites

The Main Event satellites at the 888poker room have been running since January, but traffic has been increasing significantly in the last few weeks before the 2018 WSOP as more players try out as the WSOP approaches. This week, the $22 buy-in sub-satellites have been reaching double the amount of players needed to reach its five seat guarantee, while the $109 buy-in qualifier attracted at least five times of its minimum number of entrants.

The success of the satellites is not surprising since 888poker offers a lot of different satellite and sub-satellite options for players who are looking to qualify. 888poker’s WSOP Main Event Steps Program have been particularly popular as well, where routes start from $0.01. The 6-step program increases in buy-in at each stage, from $0.01 to $0.10 to $1, and then to $5 to $30 to the last $160 buy-in for a chance to win a $1,050 tournament ticket to play in a WSOP Main Event package qualifier.

The 2018 WSOP Main Event package includes the $10,000 buy-in, $1,050 allowance for travel and other expenses, a five-night accommodation at the Vdara Hotel, and transportation from Vdara to the Rio All-Suite throughout the duration of the Main Event.
