888poker XL Spring Series Returns With $2M Guarantees

There’s no shortage of tournament action for online poker players this May, with the leading offshore poker operators announcing major festivals with millions in guaranteed prize pools.

The latest to join in on the poker extravaganza is 888poker which is set to host the XL Spring Series from May 21-June 6.

XL Spring Series – Key Details & Highlights

The XL Spring Series takes features 32 numbered events and plenty of side events with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $525. There’s $2 million in total guarantees up for grabs across the two-week festival.

The majority of tournaments are single-day events, but the two biggest events of the series will run across several days, as they feature multiple Day 1 flights. One of them is Event #19 – $160 buy-in, $200,000 GTD Mystery Bounty 8-Max which players can enter via 21 starting flights that run from May 24-29.

Day 2 of the tournament takes place on May 29, with the final action unfolding on May 30 and live-streamed via 888poker’s Twitch channel.

 

The other multi-flight event on the schedule is the main highlight of the festival, the Main Event, which comes with a $250 buy-in and a huge $500,000 guarantee. Unlike the previous edition, this year’s Main Event will be played in mystery bounty format with over a dozen Day 1 flights running from May 31-June 5.

Day 2 runs on June 5, with each remaining player guaranteed to take home some cash and also gets the chance to win a top jackpot of $50,000. The action concludes when the final table is reached, with the finalists battling it out in a live-streamed finale on June 6.

The reigning XL Spring Series Main Event champion is “Instinctym” from Andorra who topped a 2,173-entry field in 2022 to walk away with $65,608 in first-place prize. Montenegro’s “alanchi” finished runner-up for $56,387.
