888poker and Kings Casino Sign Partnership Deal

888 PokerKing’s Casino which houses Europe’s largest poker room and 888poker the second biggest online poker site in the world recently announced that they have entered into a year-long partnership deal.

King’s Casino, located in Rozvadov in the Czech Republic is a popular destination and known for hosting some of the biggest poker tournaments in Europe including the World Series of Poker Circuit(WSOP), the German Championship of Poker(GCOP), the World Poker Tour(WPT), and the Deutsche Poker Tour (DPT).

The WPT and WSOP circuits bring in players from across the globe due to their popularity while the DPT and GCOP primarily draw players from Germany given its proximity to the Czech Republic. The casino is located within 5 minutes from the German border at Waidhaus.

The online poker room at the Kings Casino has gained a lot of popularity during the last couple of seasons as the attractive €100,000 and €200,000 tournament guarantees have succeeded in drawing players from a number of different countries. The partnership between 888poker and King’s Casino revolves around these two tournaments.

The events typically run four times a year and as a part of the deal, 888poker will host satellites and sub-satellites for these specific events with buy-ins starting as low as $0.01.

Numerous 888Live events at the casino premises are also being planned and 888poker will announce the dates for these events during the next few months.

In a statement, Leon Tsoukernik owner King’s Casino said,

We have more tournaments and cash games than anywhere else in Europe. We are Europe’s biggest card room and pride ourselves on the strength of our personal service to customers and fantastic cuisine. We have big plans to expand the casino even further and are currently building a new hotel in Rozvadov. We are also looking forward to our new partnership with 888poker.

The DPT plans to return to King’s Casino in April, with the event starting on April 28 and ending on May 2. The highlight of the poker festival is the €100,000 Guaranteed DPT Main Event, with a buy-in of €159. Under the terms of the partnership, 888poker will hold $30 satellite events where winners will receive a package comprising the buy-in for the tournament and hotel accommodations for their stay.

The summer edition of GCOP will be held between June 2 and June 6, for which 888poker will host $160 satellites. The partnership deal will benefit both brands and based on the success of the venture, the partnership could be renewed at the end of the twelve month period.
