Universal Championship of Poker: VegasDetails of the upcoming 2019 Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP) have been released and online poker players will be excited with what’s in store for them.

The 2019 UCOP will have a combined guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.

Taking place at Microgaming (MPN) sites on April 14-28, UCOP will feature a total of 61 events, 55 no-limit hold’em and six pot-limit Omaha events, with buy-ins ranging from as low as €5.50 to €320.

Players can expect a variety of formats which include bounty hunters, freezeouts, 1R1A, deepstacks, rebuys and super bounty rebuys. While there are plenty of good buy-ins to choose from, the highlight of the tournament is the €110 buy-in UCOP Vegas Main Event – €50,000 Freezeout which takes place on April 28.

€20,000 Leaderboard

There will also be a €20,000 leaderboard with €2,500 worth of tournament tickets to be awarded to the winner, who will also walk away with a cool Las Vegas travel package for two worth €7,500. The Vegas package includes premium economy flights, accommodation, limo transfer from airport to hotel, plus a chance to enjoy amazing experiences in the city such as Exotic Car Driving, a Sunset Grand Canyon Tour, plus show tickets.

Players who are able to make it to the top 50 will also share €10,000 worth of cash prizes. You can earn points by playing in UCOP Vegas events, but you can get bonus points if you end up in the top six spots. If you win an event, you’ll receive 1.5, if you finish 2nd, you’ll get 1.45, 3rd – 1.4, 4th – 1.35, 5th – 1.3, and 6th – 1.25. To find out further information as to how the points are calculated, do check out the official website.

Any player who wins any of the 61 events will be able to take part in the Tournament of Champions which takes place on May 1. The winner walks away with €1,500 worth of online tournament tickets.

Where to Play

Those who are keen on playing at the action-packed 15-day tournament can go to MPN-powered online poker sites – betsafe and Grosvenor Poker. Players may also join via RedKings Poker. However, creating a new RedKings account to take part in the series is highly discouraged as the operator is set to stop offering poker and betting services effective April 28, and will not be offering any new bonus or promotions.

For the full schedule of this year’s UCOP tournament series, you may checkout MPN’s website.
