2018 WSOP Sees The Return Of Big One for One Drop

The 49th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) will once again take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and run from May 29 to July 17 2018.

The WSOP released its full list of events that is scheduled for the 2018 WSOP and poker players will be thrilled with the wide range of low stake and high stake poker events available.

The WSOP has scheduled 78 gold bracelet events and has confirmed the return of the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop event. The 2018 WSOP Main Event will start on July 2 and finish on July 14. Just like the 2017 WSOP, the final table for the Main Event will take place after a short break as the earlier November Nine final table has been done away with for good.

The $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop event will take place after the WSOP Main Event. The Big One for One Drop will start on July 15 and finish on July 17. The WSOP has capped the number of entries to 48 and will donate the $111,111 buy-in for the event to the One Drop foundation as usual. The Big One for One Drop event makes it return to the WSOP after a four year gap.

One Drop

The WSOP first hosted the Big One for One Drop event in 2012 and Antonio Esfandiari finished first and took home $18,346,673. The second edition took place in 2014 and the event was won by Daniel Colman who received $15,306,668. The 2018 Big One for One Drop event is expected to attract the top poker players in the world as they are guaranteed to win millions by finishing first.

The 2018 WSOP will also see the introduction of a number of new events. Some of the new events include $565 WSOP.com ONLINE Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed, $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller, $100,000 No-Limit High Roller, $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo Bounty and the The Closer – $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em (1M Gtd).

Poker players will be happy to know that the WSOP will run all of its popular events as usual. Some of these events include $50,000 Poker Players Championship, Millionaire Maker, Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship, Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em, Little One for One Drop and Colossus IV.
