Poker pro Fedor Holz recently confirmed that he will be taking part in the Celebrity Cash Kings that will be held in Europe’s largest poker room at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Celebrity Cash Kings is a tournament that exclusively focuses on high stakes cash games. The tournament format will feature a number of cash games running continuously with one of them streamed live. The poker festival will be held between August 15 and August 17.
The game that will be streamed live is the no-limit hold'em with €50/€100 blinds but organizers have indicated that if players agree it could be possible to change it into a pot-limit Omaha format or the blinds could be increased for the game. Apart from Holz, other players who have who will be in attendance are Dan Cates, Rob Yong, Jesper Hougaard, Tobias Reinkemeier, Sam Trickett, Roberto Romanello, and Jan Peter Jachtmann
In a statement, Leon Tsoukernik of King's Casino said
This year’s line-up has a great feel with so many people returning plus others coming to Rozvadov for the very first time. The famous King hospitality is ready. We welcome all the players but it is particularly nice to see Fedor come back to his roots and a place where it all started for him — we are all very proud how he has risen so fast.
Holz who has been on a major roll this year will be the biggest poker name at the event. He has had numerous wins this year including the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop which got him his first gold bracelet at the 2016 World Series of Poker. Holz has so far has banked $14 million in 2016, putting him on the list of an elite few poker players who have managed this feat.
Subsequent to his win at the 2016 WSOP, the German poker pro announced that he was taking a break from poker after his exhausting WSOP schedule, but his confirmation for the Celebrity Cash Kings shows that he is still keen to participate in major events.
This is the second edition of Celebrity Cash Kings this year. An earlier edition was held between April 24 – 27 at the King’s Casino and featured a number of well known poker stars such as Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov. The games were streamed live and featured more than five separate events in both German and English.
